Amelia Davis, a San Francisco based photographer, studied photography
at the University of California at Davis and received a BA in Studio Art
from there. Amelia’s photography has been in galleries, juried shows,
selected group shows, magazines, text books, and is in private collections.
Amelia is a grant recipient for her photo documentary books, The
First Look about breast cancer survivors, My Story: A Photographic
Essay On Life With Multiple Sclerosis about living with MS and Faces
of Osteoporosis about Osteoporosis.

Amelia has been a guest speaker at various events and appeared on TV and
Radio shows, such as FORUM on PBS radio.

Amelia Davis’ book, The First Look, has received The Sixteen Annual Susan
Koppelman Award for editing, and was selected by the AAUP Book and Jacket
Show as one of the best designed books of 2000. Amelia's third book, Faces
of Osteoporosis received a Silver Award for Excellence in Public
Health Communication at the National Public Health Information
Coalition.

Amelia’s goal is to educated and empower people through her photography.
